Don’t panic, keep all the broken pieces together and most importantly do not use super glue or try and repair the denture yourself. This may offer a quick solution, however, it rarely lasts that long. This inevitably causes further damage, making your denture impossible to repair again as it no longer accurately locates.

Often where there have been repeated repairs done to an existing denture, you may be advised to have a new denture made instead of having it repaired again. This is because dentures that have had teeth added or fractured multiple times are often more susceptible to breakages and may not fit as well as they should and are generally not as comfortable to wear. Well fitting dentures should not be uncomfortable or require any adhesive such as Fixodent to keep them in place.
Dentures can normally be repaired the same day unless the fracture is very complicated or the dentures have been ‘repaired’ at home with superglue.
