What is Cosmetic Dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry is a term used to cover any dental treatment that is associated with the appearance (though not necessarily the function) of a person’s teeth, gums or bite. This often means that procedures are not available on the NHS as there is not a health requirement for the procedures to be carried out.

Dentistry is no longer a case of maintaining, filling and extracting teeth. Patients’ undergoing cosmetic treatments has seen a huge increase in recent years primarily due to people wanting their own ‘Hollywood’ smile.
